Our projects

ATIA’s priority is to sustainably increase the vulnerable families’ living conditions, health and income. As the difficulties that these families face tend to be interdependent, As the difficulties these families face are often interrelated, ATIA uses integrated programmes promoting access to employment through three main areas:

Contribute to the beneficiaries’ autonomy by encouraging:

> creation and development of income-generating activities (productive loans) for micro-entrepreneurs,
> access to training,
> work placement.

Health

Disease prevention and access to care to prevent economic development from being hindered by health issues:

> Mutual health insurance to facilitate access to care for families through a micro health-insurance scheme with social health services,

> Referrals to a network of selected health providers, to ensure quality and cut costs for patients,

> Prevention of common diseases through IEC activities (Information, Education and Communication).

> Fighting tuberculosis in Mumbai and Tananarive.

Overcome the isolation of marginalised families:

> Start the socio-economic progress of the poorest families by building their capacities and reinforcing their access to basic social services (health, education, legal documents, family planning…),

> Integrate the impact of gender norms on the situation of the women supported, working more specifically on their empowerment.



Social - early childhood development & pre- and primary school

Support the psychomotor development of very young children to address early specific needs and avoid development delays:

> Durably alleviate poverty through early childhood-development activities for children from underprivileged neighbourhoods.

> Support for pre-schooling (opening of classes) and primary schooling (school support, teacher training).
